Picked 12th in the Big Sky in the preseason, the Portland State women's cross country team proved how silly that estimation was as the Vikings met their own preseason goal of finishing in the top half of the conference with a sixth-place finish at the Big Sky Championships Saturday at Ray Richards Golf Course.
