For programs young and old, records and milestones were accomplished to some extent by nearly every NCU team during the 2014-2015 year. Leading the way was a freshman runner and junior softball player.

Two softball players and three men's track & field athletes were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes this week. The five spring athletes bring NCU's 2014-2015 total number of NAIA scholars to 17.

Sophomores Alyssa Harmon and Michelle Fletcher and senior Tyler Fox have been named CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District 4 Selections for Track & Field/Cross Country.

Three school records were improved on Saturday as the Northwest Christian University men's track & field team competed at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship, hosted by Southern Oregon University.

A record number of athletes will compete in a record number of events as the Beacons look for their highest finishes ever on both the men's and women's side as the event moves south to Raider Stadium on the campus of Southern Oregon University.

The Women's Cross Country team earned Team of the Year honors at the 2014-2015 NCU Athletics Champions of Character Award Ceremony on Sunday night.
