With NCU's top-eight runners taking the weekend off, four Beacon runners competed in the Lewis & Clark Invitational. Sophomore Natalie Kogutkiewicz led the team with a 52nd-place finish with a time of 24:58 over the 6,000m course at McIver State Park.

Head women's cross country coach Heike McNeil announced on Wednesday that the Beacons will host a "Time Trial" event on October 21 at Amazon Park.

A bye week for the Beacons and a poor showing by another top-flight team resulted in a shift near the top of the most recent NAIA national coaches poll with NCU finding themselves ranked No. 3 in the nation.
