Kingstad Competes in 1,500-meter Run at Oregon RelaysPublished by
Records his Top Time so far this Season EUGENE, ORE. -- Willamette University's Kit Kingstad (Sr., Beaverton, OR/Beaverton HS) placed 11th in the men's 1,500-meter run section B at the Oregon Relays on Saturday, April 19 at Hayward Field. Section B featured a total of 16 runners from NCAA Division I, II and III, plus one runner with the Oregon Track Club and two unattached competitors. Kingstad registered a time of 3:56.20 for his top time of the season. His previous best time in 2014 was at the Willamette Invitational on March 29, when he placed third in the "A" section at 3:56.68. At the Oregon Relays on Saturday, Harun Abda of the Oregon Track Club won the 1,500-meter section B in 3:48.04. He was followed by Colby Gilbert, who competed unattached, with a time of 3:49.44. Boru Guyota from the University of Oregon was third at 3:49.82. The next competition for the Bearcats will be at the Northwest Conference Championships on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26.
